This policy describes what data Privio does and does not collect. The short version is at the top.
Your documents never leave your device. Every PDF you scan, sign, redact, OCR, or convert is processed on your phone — whether you're on iPhone or Android. Erek Studio operates no servers, has no account system, and never receives your files, your OCR text, or your file names.
The free version of Privio shows ads. Ads are served by Google AdMob, which collects advertising and device identifiers, approximate (IP-derived) location, and app- and ad-interaction data in order to show and measure ads. The ad system never receives your documents. Privio Pro removes ads entirely — when you are Pro, the ad SDK is not started at all and makes no requests.
Apart from ads, the only outbound activity is what you explicitly tap: the system share sheet (the iOS Share Sheet or the Android share menu) to send a finished PDF to another app, or an in-app purchase through Apple's App Store or Google Play.
This is the centerpiece of the product. Privio does not collect, transmit, or have any access to:
There are no servers operated by Erek Studio that receive your data, because there are no servers in this product. The advertising described in section 2.3 talks to Google's servers, never to ours, and never carries your documents.
Strictly limited to what is unavoidable for the app to function on Apple's platform:
If you upgrade to Privio Pro, the transaction is processed entirely by the platform's store — Apple's App Store on iOS, or Google Play on Android. The store shares a purchase/receipt token with the app so Privio can unlock paid features locally on your device. We never see your payment method, credit card number, billing address, Apple ID, or Google account.
The data each store itself collects during a purchase is governed by that store's own privacy policy: Apple — apple.com/legal/privacy; Google — policies.google.com/privacy.
Both Apple and Google offer an operating-system toggle that, if you turn it on, lets the platform forward anonymous crash and performance reports for any app — including Privio — to a dashboard the developer can read in aggregate. Privio itself contains no crash or product-analytics SDK; this happens at the OS/store level, never inside the app.
The free version of Privio is supported by ads. Ads are served by Google AdMob, together with Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) for consent. To show and measure an ad, Google collects and processes:
What the ad system never receives: your PDFs, the images you scan, OCR text, PII Scan results, file names, or anything else you create in Privio. The advertising SDK and the document pipeline share no data. This is the claim at the centre of the product, and adding ads did not change it.
Your controls:
Google acts as an independent controller for this data. Its handling is governed by Google's own policies: how Google uses data from apps that use its services and policies.google.com/privacy.
That is the entire list. There is nothing else.
Privio asks for the following permissions only at the moment you use the relevant feature:

If you decline either permission, the corresponding feature is disabled but the rest of the app works normally.
We do not request location, contacts, microphone, calendar, motion, or any other permission Privio does not need.
Privio writes the following files inside its private app storage (the iOS sandbox, or the Android app-private directory) — readable only by Privio and by you through the system file manager (the iOS Files app, or the Android Files / Downloads UI):
None of these ever leave your device unless you explicitly tap Share inside Privio. The system share sheet (the iOS Share Sheet, or the Android share menu) then sends the file to whatever app you pick (Mail, Files, AirDrop, Drive, etc.). What that destination app does with the file is governed by that app's own privacy policy, not ours.
Privio is a document utility for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and Erek Studio itself holds no user data at all. Privio is not enrolled in Google Play's Designed for Families programme and is not intended for child-directed use; the advertising described in section 2.3 is therefore not configured for a child audience. Erek Studio does not sell personal information, and never has. We hold none to sell.
However, under the California CCPA/CPRA — and comparable US state laws — showing personalised ads can count as "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. The advertising identifiers and ad-interaction data described in section 2.3 are made available to Google for that purpose in the free version of the app.
To opt out: in covered US states the Google consent form appears in-app and lets you decline; on iOS, decline the App Tracking Transparency prompt; on Android, enable "Opt out of Ads Personalisation" in Settings → Google → Ads. Buying Privio Pro removes ads entirely, which ends the sharing. Your documents are never part of this, under any tier.
Erek Studio transfers no user data anywhere, because it receives none. The advertising described in section 2.3 is processed by Google on its own global infrastructure, under Google's privacy policy and transfer safeguards. Apple's and Google's separate handling of store purchase data is likewise governed by their own privacy policies.
There is no central database, no cloud backup of your PDFs, no server operated by us that could be breached, and no third party that holds your documents. The standard SaaS data-breach risk does not apply to Privio's design.
Your files live in Privio's private app storage (the iOS sandbox, or the Android app-private directory), which the operating system encrypts as long as you have a device passcode or screen lock set. Set one.
If we ever change Privio's data practices, we will rewrite this policy, post the new version under the same URL, and update the "Last updated" date at the top. Material changes will be noted in the in-app What's New of the next update.
We respond to all good-faith privacy questions within 30 days.
