Privio is built by a solo indie developer. There is no support team, no ticket queue, no chatbot — just one human reading every email.
Typical reply window is under 24 hours, Istanbul time. Bug reports get the fastest turnaround — include the iOS version and which tool you were using.
Do not attach any PDF that contains sensitive information when filing a bug report. Privio runs on-device specifically so your documents stay private; please keep them off support email too.
iPhone Settings → tap your name at the top → Subscriptions → Privio → Cancel Subscription. You keep access until the current period ends. No questions, no retention dark patterns from our side.
Inside the Files app: On My iPhone → Privio. Everything Privio produces lives in its own sandbox folder; iOS encrypts it at rest as long as you have a passcode set. The files don't sync to iCloud unless you explicitly turn that on in the Files app settings.
No. Every operation — scan, OCR, redact, sign, summarise — runs on your device's own hardware. Your documents are never uploaded: there is no Erek Studio server, no analytics SDK, and no crash-reporting SDK. The free version does show ads (Google AdMob), and the ad system talks to Google — but it never receives your documents, your OCR text, or your file names. Privio Pro removes ads entirely. See the Privacy Policy for the full statement.
Privio uses Apple's VisionKit document scanner. It needs the camera at the moment you tap "Scan to PDF" to capture pages. The frames are processed in memory and the finished PDF is saved to your sandbox; nothing is uploaded. If you decline the permission, the scanner is disabled but every other tool still works — you can import PDFs and images through the Files app or share sheet instead.
Yes — Privio's Redact tool removes the matched text from the data stream, rasterises the affected pages, and burns black bars on top. There is no "hidden" text layer to extract. That said, complex PDFs have many surfaces (embedded objects, attachments, prior revisions, comments), so before sharing a sensitive document externally, open the redacted PDF in a separate viewer to do a final eyeball check.
Receipt parsing uses on-device OCR plus regex heuristics — fast and private, but it can miss things on unusual formats. Every field is editable before you tap Save, and the original PDF stays untouched. If a specific receipt format reliably fails for you, email a redacted screenshot and I will tune the parser for that format in the next update.
Open Privio → Settings → tap Restore purchases. As long as you sign into the new iPhone with the same Apple ID you used to buy Pro, the purchase will come back. If it does not, email me and I will help — usually the issue is a different Apple ID by mistake.
Send me the use case (one paragraph is plenty) and what you currently do without it. I read every request and tend to prioritise the ones that match the lawyer / accountant / pro wedge — Privio is intentionally not trying to be every PDF app for every user.
If Privio is genuinely helping you, leaving a quick rating on the App Store is the single most valuable thing you can do for a solo indie developer — it is how new users discover the app. The in-app prompt asks once after you have used a few tools; you can also leave a review any time by opening the App Store listing.
