SYNC asks seven questions a day, records what you answered, and shows the percentages once everyone has answered. That means the app does collect data — the percentages are the product. This page says exactly what is collected and what is never shown.
There is no account. SYNC signs you in anonymously. It never asks for your name, e-mail address, phone number or password, and it has no way to learn them.
What is stored
- Your answers and predictions. For each question: which option you chose, the percentage you guessed, the date, and how many seconds you took.
- An anonymous identifier created on your device by Firebase Authentication. It is not linked to you as a person.
- Your reveal region. A coarse time-zone group, so the 21:00 reveal happens at 21:00 where you are.
- Country, when your device reports one, so results can be broken down by country. Country only, never a precise location — SYNC requests no location permission of any kind.
- Your own scores and streak — how close your predictions have been and how often you land on an uncommon answer.
- Duo and Rooms. If you pair with someone or join a room, the answers you exchange inside it are stored for that pairing.
What is never shown next to you
Some days ask quieter questions — what you would forgive, what you have never admitted. Answers to those are never displayed beside your identity, to anyone, on any screen or share card, and the question itself is hidden on shares. This is enforced in the database security rules, not by an app setting that could be changed later.
Your individual answer to an ordinary question is never published either. Only aggregate percentages leave the database.
Services used
- Google Firebase — Authentication, Firestore, Cloud Functions, Cloud Messaging, Remote Config, App Check, Analytics and Crashlytics. Data is processed in the europe-west1 region.
- Google AdMob — shows optional rewarded and native ads. Where required by law you are asked for consent first, through Google's consent form, and you can change that choice later in the app.
- Apple App Store / Google Play — handle purchases. SYNC receives only whether a purchase is valid. It never sees your card, your billing address, or your store account.
Crash reports and analytics are used to find bugs and to understand which screens are used. They do not contain your answers.
Notifications
Two a day at most: one in the morning, one when the curtain lifts. You are asked before any are sent, and you can turn them off at any time in your device settings.
Children
SYNC is not directed at children under 13, and accounts are not knowingly created for them.
Deleting everything
The app has a Delete account action in Settings. It removes your answers, your scores, your streak and your anonymous identifier. Answers already counted into a day's published percentage cannot be subtracted from that percentage, because the percentage carries no identity and there is nothing in it to trace back to you.

Saklananlar

- Ülke, cihazın bildiriyorsa — sonuçlar ülkeye göre ayrılabilsin diye. Yalnızca ülke; kesin konum asla. SYNC hiçbir konum izni istemez.
- Kendi puanların ve serin.
- İkili ve Odalar. Biriyle eşleşirsen ya da odaya girersen, orada karşılıklı verdiğiniz cevaplar o eşleşme için saklanır.
Adının yanında asla gösterilmeyenler
Bazı günler daha sessiz sorular gelir — neyi affedersin, neyi hiç itiraf etmedin. Bunlara verdiğin cevaplar hiçbir ekranda, hiçbir paylaşım kartında, hiç kimseye kimliğinle birlikte gösterilmez; paylaşımlarda sorunun kendisi de gizlenir. Bu, sonradan değiştirilebilecek bir ayar değil, veritabanı güvenlik kurallarına yazılıdır.
Sıradan bir soruya verdiğin tek tek cevap da yayınlanmaz. Veritabanından yalnızca toplu yüzdeler çıkar.
Kullanılan servisler

Çocuklar
SYNC 13 yaşın altındaki çocuklara yönelik değildir ve onlar için bilerek hesap oluşturulmaz.
Her şeyi silmek
Ayarlar'da Hesabı sil eylemi var. Cevaplarını, puanlarını, serini ve anonim kimliğini kaldırır. Bir günün yayınlanmış yüzdesine karışmış cevaplar o yüzdeden çıkarılamaz; çünkü yüzde hiçbir kimlik taşımaz ve içinde sana geri götürecek bir şey yoktur.
