Colophon — Delete your Fellowship account
Last updated: 2026-11-04
This page is for Colophon, a study Bible by Erek Studio (Mustafa Salim Erek). Reading, notes, highlights and Colophon Pro need no account. The one account in Colophon is the optional Fellowship account — the Prayer Wall, the Fellowship room and private messages — which you open with Sign in with Apple on iPhone and iPad or Sign in with Google on Android. You can delete it in the app, or ask us by email if you no longer have the app.
In the app
- Open Colophon and tap Fellowship (the tab under the reading page; it is also the first item in the reader’s ⋮ menu and in Settings).
- Tap Settings (the gear at the top of Fellowship).
- Tap Delete chat account, then Delete.
The account is deleted at once, as described below. If the account is banned or age-blocked, or you never finished setting it up, Fellowship shows the delete button on the screen it opens to instead.
By email, without the app
Email mustafasalimerek@gmail.com with the subject “Delete my Colophon Fellowship account”. Give your Fellowship nickname and say whether you signed in with Apple (iPhone or iPad) or with Google (Android). We may ask you to confirm that the account is yours before we delete it. We delete it usually within a few days and at the latest within 30 days of your request, and we tell you by email when it is done. The deletion is the same as the one in the app.
What is deleted at once
- Your Fellowship profile: nickname, display name, “About you” line, avatar and birth year.
- The link to your Apple or Google sign-in, your sign-in sessions, and the push tokens of your devices (on Android, the Firebase Cloud Messaging installation ID).
- The text of every prayer request and comment you wrote, together with the comments and “I prayed” taps under your requests and any report copies of them, and your own “I prayed” taps.
- The text of every message you sent in the Fellowship room and in private messages; your private conversations close.
- Your blocks, your place in the room, and the counters behind the daily limits.
Nothing else in Colophon is affected: your reading, notes, highlights and Colophon Pro live on your device and in your store account, not in Fellowship.
What is kept, and why
- Report copies of messages. If someone reported one of your messages, a copy of it and of the messages around it is kept for safety review for up to 365 days after the report, then deleted.
- Chat+ purchase records. The store’s record of a Chat+ subscription — the transaction identifier (on Google Play, the purchase token), the product and the expiry date — stays without a link to any account, so that a subscription you still pay for can be restored to a new Fellowship account, and so that one purchase cannot serve two accounts at once. It holds no profile and no payment details.
- Bans and age blocks. If the account was banned, or its birth year did not show an adult, a one-way hash of its Apple or Google identifier stays, so that deleting is not a way back in. The hash cannot be turned back into the identifier.
- Moderation records. The log of moderation steps (which rule or check acted, or which decision a moderator took — never the text) stays under the deleted account’s internal number, with no profile, sign-in or contact details attached.
- An empty account record marked deleted, with no profile, so that other people’s closed conversations stay consistent.
The report copies are deleted within 365 days. The other records stay while Fellowship runs, and none of them holds your name, email address or anything you wrote.
Deleting only some of your data
You don’t have to delete the account to remove what you shared. In Fellowship you can delete any of your own prayer requests or comments at any time, and its text is removed at once. Prayer requests and their comments are deleted from the server 30 days after the request was posted in any case, and the text of room and private messages 180 days after it was sent. The privacy policy has the details.
Subscriptions
Deleting the account does not cancel a Chat+ subscription. Cancel it in Google Play › Subscriptions on Android, or in your Apple ID settings on iPhone and iPad (Settings › your name › Subscriptions).
