Colophon — Fellowship Terms of Use
Last updated: 2026-11-05 (version 1.5)
These terms cover Fellowship — the optional Prayer Wall, Fellowship room and private messages inside Colophon — and Chat+, the optional subscription sold in Fellowship. The short version: Fellowship is optional and for adults; what you write stays yours and follows the community rules; Chat+ renews automatically until you cancel it — in your Apple ID settings on iPhone and iPad, in Google Play › Subscriptions on Android; and Colophon Pro, bought once, stays exactly as it is.
Who we are
Colophon is made by Mustafa Salim Erek, an individual developer who publishes apps as Erek Studio. Erek Studio is not a company. In these terms “we” and “us” mean him, and “you” means the person using Fellowship.
The app’s license and these terms
Colophon from the App Store is licensed to you under Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/. These terms add to it for Fellowship and Chat+; they don’t replace it. They are between you and us, not Apple: Apple is not responsible for Fellowship or for what is posted in it, and has no obligation to support it.
Colophon from Google Play is licensed to you under these terms and the Google Play Terms of Service. Here too, these terms are between you and us: Google is not responsible for Fellowship or for what is posted in it.
Fellowship is optional
Bible reading, notes, highlights and Colophon Pro need no account, and nothing in Fellowship is needed for them. They work the same whether or not you ever join.
Your Fellowship account
- You join with Sign in with Apple on iPhone and iPad, or with Sign in with Google on Android. We don’t ask for your name or email, and we don’t keep the email address, name or picture a sign-in may share.
- Your Fellowship account is only for Colophon. It is separate from any chat account in Erek Studio’s games, and Colophon’s Chat+ is separate from Chat+ in those games.
- When you join, you agree to these terms and the community rules. Fellowship also asks for your consent to its AI safety check and, separately, to the processing of any faith or health details you choose to share; the privacy policy explains both.
- You are responsible for what is done with your account, so keep your Apple ID or Google account secure.
Who can join
Fellowship is for adults: 18 or older (19 or older in Korea). It asks for your birth year, which can’t be changed later, and opens on 1 January of the year you turn 19. Don’t use Fellowship if you are younger, if we have banned you before, or if the law where you live doesn’t allow you to.
What you write
- It stays yours. You keep the rights you have in your prayer requests, comments and messages.
- You let us show it. So that Fellowship can work, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free permission to store, copy, check, show and send what you post to the members you share it with, for as long as it is kept under the privacy policy. The check includes the automated AI review, which may replace other people’s names and places with general words. We never use what you write for advertising and never sell it.
- Others will read it. What you post in the room or on the Prayer Wall can be read by everyone in Fellowship, and people can remember or copy what they read. Share only what you’re comfortable sharing.
- You are responsible for it. Don’t post anything you don’t have the right to share, including other people’s private stories.
- It can be removed. We may remove anything that breaks these terms or the community rules, or that puts someone at risk.
Using Fellowship
The community rules are part of these terms: they say what is and isn’t allowed. In addition, don’t use bots or scripts to use Fellowship; don’t try to get around a limit, a block, a suspension or a ban, including by opening another account; and don’t try to break, overload or misuse the service.
Moderation, suspension and closing accounts
There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. We act on reports within 24 hours: content that a report shows to break these terms or the community rules is removed, and the person who posted it is removed from Fellowship. To report inappropriate activity, use Report in the app or write to the address under Contact.
Prayer requests, comments and messages are checked by automatic filters and by AI, and reports are reviewed, as the community rules describe. We may remove content, or suspend or ban an account, with or without warning, when these terms or the community rules are broken, to protect someone, or when the law requires it. A ban stays attached to the Apple ID or Google account, so deleting the account is not a way back in.
Only you can cancel Chat+, in your Apple ID settings or in Google Play › Subscriptions: a suspension, a ban or deleting your account doesn’t cancel it. You can stop using Fellowship at any time.
How long things are kept
- Prayer requests and their comments are deleted from the server 30 days after the request was posted. You can delete your own request or comment at any time; its text is removed at once.
- The server deletes the text of room messages and private messages 180 days after they were sent.
- When something is reported, the copy kept for safety review is deleted within 365 days; a copy of a prayer request or comment goes with the request, after 30 days.
The privacy policy has the details.
Deleting your account
You can delete your Fellowship account at any time in Fellowship’s settings, under Delete chat account. Deletion is immediate: your Fellowship profile, prayer requests, comments, messages and settings are deleted and can’t be restored, apart from the report copies and the ban or age block that the privacy policy describes. Nothing else in Colophon changes: your Bible reading, notes and Colophon Pro stay as they are. Deleting the account, or the app, doesn’t cancel Chat+; cancel it in your Apple ID settings or in Google Play › Subscriptions. If you can’t open the app, write to us and we’ll delete the account for you: Deleting your Fellowship account says how.
Chat+
Chat+ is an optional, auto-renewing subscription sold in Fellowship: $3.99 a month or $24.99 a year in the United States. Prices in other countries may differ; the App Store or Google Play shows your price before you buy. While it is active, Chat+ includes exactly this:
- posting prayer requests on the Prayer Wall, up to 10 a week;
- unlimited messages in the Fellowship room;
- unlimited private messages, sending and reading;
- every Colophon Pro feature, for as long as the subscription is active.
Reading the Prayer Wall and the room, commenting, “I prayed” and every safety tool are free for everyone. Without Chat+, room and private messages can have daily limits; the app shows them when they apply. “Unlimited” means no daily limit — the community rules and the ordinary limits against spam still apply.
Payment and renewal on iPhone and iPad. Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm the purchase. Chat+ renews automatically at the same price unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and the renewal is charged within the 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel it at any time in your Apple ID settings (on iPhone: Settings › your name › Subscriptions). After you cancel, Chat+ stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
Payment and renewal on Android. Chat+ is billed by Google Play. Payment is charged to your Google Play account when you confirm the purchase. Chat+ renews automatically at the same price until you cancel it in Google Play › Subscriptions (Fellowship’s settings link there under “Manage subscription”). After you cancel, Chat+ stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
Refunds are handled by the store under its own policies, not by us: on iPhone and iPad by Apple, at reportaproblem.apple.com; on Android by Google, under the Google Play refund policies.
One account at a time. A Chat+ subscription can be linked to only one Fellowship account at a time. If Chat+ doesn’t show on a new device, use Restore purchases in Fellowship.
Colophon Pro is separate. Colophon Pro is a one-time purchase: it is charged once and never renews. Chat+ doesn’t change it: if you own Colophon Pro, you keep every Pro feature whether or not you subscribe, and after Chat+ ends. Colophon Pro doesn’t include Chat+ or posting on the Prayer Wall.
When Chat+ ends, posting prayer requests stops, any daily message limits apply again, and Colophon Pro features close again unless you own Colophon Pro. Nothing you made with them is deleted: your notes, notebooks and study stay on your device.
Sunday Worship and Confession
Colophon Pro, and Chat+ while it is active, include two more features:
- Sunday Worship is an hour of Scripture and prayer each Sunday, in twelve short parts at the time you choose. Its prayers and reflections are written once a week for everyone with the help of AI; every passage is the Berean Standard Bible, from the Bible in the app. It is a devotional aid: it is not a church service and doesn’t replace one, it is not a sacrament, and it is not pastoral advice. AI-written words can be imperfect, so read them with discernment — and if you can, worship with a local congregation too.
- Confession is a private, guided time of prayer. What you write there stays on your device, held only in the app’s memory while the screen is open, and is never saved or sent anywhere — not to us and not to any AI. (The keyboard you type with, including dictation, belongs to your device’s operating system.) Confession doesn’t take the place of confession to a priest or pastor where your tradition has it; it can help you prepare.
No guarantees
Fellowship, Chat+ and the rest of Colophon are provided “as is”. We work to keep Fellowship safe and running, but we can’t promise that it will always be available or free of errors, or that every harmful post will be caught — automatic checks, AI included, make mistakes both ways. What members write is their own; we don’t check that it is true. Nothing in Fellowship, Sunday Worship or Confession is medical, psychological, legal, financial or pastoral advice, and Fellowship is not a crisis service: the community rules list where to find help.
We may change Fellowship and its free limits, or stop offering it. If a change takes away part of what Chat+ includes, or if Fellowship closes, we’ll say so in the app where we can, and you can cancel Chat+ in your Apple ID settings or in Google Play › Subscriptions; refunds are Apple’s or Google’s.
Limits of liability
Erek Studio is one person, not a company. So, as far as the law allows: we are not liable for what other members write or do, or for indirect or consequential losses; and if we are liable to you for anything else, our total liability is limited to what you paid for Chat+ in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn’t allow to be limited — for example for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud — or takes away rights you have as a consumer where you live.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the new version is posted here with a new date. If a change affects Chat+ — its price or what it includes — Apple’s or Google Play’s rules for subscriptions apply, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
