Privacy Policy
Verithe · Erek Studio
This policy explains what Verithe (“the game”) sends, stores, and shows. It is written by Erek Studio, a sole proprietorship registered in Türkiye, which is the data controller for everything described below. Last updated 12 August 2026.
1. What stays on your device
Most of the game never leaves your phone. Stored locally, and never sent anywhere:
- Which levels you have solved, your star ratings, and your move counts.
- Your stardust balance, hints, undos, and escape pods.
- Your daily streak and any streak freezes.
- Settings: sound, music, haptics, language, colour-blind mode.
- Whether you own Remove Ads.
Uninstalling the game deletes all of it. We keep no backup of it and cannot restore it for you.
2. The Galaxy Ranking
The leaderboard is the one part of Verithe that needs a server, and it is opt-in: nothing about you is sent until you choose to join and pick a nickname. Decline and the game is unchanged in every other way.
Once you have joined, finishing a level sends a small snapshot to our own server, run on Cloudflare Workers:
| What is sent | Why |
|---|---|
| A player ID issued by our server the first time you join, together with a secret that stays on your device | So your entry updates instead of duplicating, and so that only your device can change or delete your row. Neither is tied to your phone, your account, or your advertising ID. |
| The nickname you typed | To label your row. Pick anything; there is no requirement that it be your real name, and we would rather it were not. |
| Your country code | Taken from your device's language settings, not from your location or your IP address. Used to show a flag. |
| Total stardust and highest level reached | These are the score. |
| Whether you own Remove Ads | To draw the supporter mark next to your row. |
We do not send your level-by-level history, your settings, your contacts, your files, your precise location, or anything identifying. Your IP address reaches the server the way it reaches any website; we use it only to rate-limit abuse and do not store it alongside your ranking row.
Removing yourself: Settings → Reset my data deletes your row, your credential and any reports involving you from the server, and wipes the local save in the same step. There is no waiting period and no email to send. If the server cannot be reached, nothing is deleted at all and the game tells you so, rather than clearing your device while your name stays on a public board.
Your purchase is not part of that erasure. It belongs to your Apple or Google account, not to us, and resetting your data does not revoke it.
2b. Other players’ nicknames
Nicknames are written by the people who choose them, so they are the one place in Verithe where you can see content we did not write. The server rejects a list of slurs and obscenities outright. Beyond that, every row on the board carries a small flag: tap it, or press and hold the row, to report the name and hide it on your device immediately. Reports are reviewed and an unacceptable name is removed from the board.
3. Anonymous gameplay statistics
The game reports coarse events — a level started, a level finished, an ad shown, a purchase completed — so we can tell which levels are broken or unfairly hard. These carry the app version, the platform, and a session ID that is generated fresh every time the game starts and is never written to disk. They carry no player ID, no nickname, and no device identifier, so a batch of events cannot be traced back to you or joined to your ranking row.
These events are deleted from our server after 30 days.
This is on by default and there is a switch to turn it off: Settings → Share anonymous stats.
4. Advertising
The free version shows full-screen ads between levels and optional rewarded ads you choose to watch for a bonus. These come from Google AdMob. To serve them and to measure them, Google processes data we never see or store. By Google's own declaration for this SDK, that can include your device's advertising identifier and other device IDs, coarse location derived from your IP address, advertising and interaction data, and diagnostic information such as crash and performance data from within the ad SDK.
- In the EEA, UK, and Switzerland you are shown a consent form before any ad loads, and you can reopen it any time from Settings → Privacy options. Refusing personalised ads does not lock you out of anything in the game.
- On iOS you are asked separately whether the game may track you across apps. Declining is respected; we do not attempt to work around it.
- Buying Remove Ads ends the ads shown between levels for good. The optional rewarded videos stay available, because they are how a hint or an extra undo can be earned without spending stardust, so the ad SDK is still loaded and still requests an ad when — and only when — you choose to watch one.
Google's handling of that data is governed by its own policy: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. You can opt out of personalised advertising in your device settings on both platforms.
5. Purchases
Remove Ads is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Apple or Google. The payment happens inside their systems; we never receive your card number, your billing address, or your store account. All we learn is that the purchase succeeded, which the game records locally as a flag.
6. Children
Verithe is rated for everyone and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has entered identifying information as a nickname, write to us and we will remove that row.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR, the UK GDPR, Türkiye's KVKK, and the CCPA/CPRA you may ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. For Verithe all three are answerable in the app itself, because your ranking row is the only record tied to you: Reset my data erases it.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising in the sense the CCPA uses those words, beyond the AdMob processing described in section 4 — which US state laws may treat as “sharing.” The device-level and consent-form opt-outs above are the way to stop it.
You can also write to mustafasalimerek@gmail.com and we will answer within 30 days. If you are in the EEA you may complain to your national supervisory authority.
8. Where data is processed
Leaderboard rows are stored in Cloudflare's D1 database. Cloudflare and Google both operate globally, so data may be processed outside your country, including in the United States, under the standard contractual clauses those providers publish.
9. Retention
A ranking row stays until you delete it. Gameplay events are deleted after 30 days. Anti-abuse records — one-time request tokens and per-address request counters — expire within minutes.
10. Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects what leaves your device, the date at the top changes and the new version appears here before the update that needs it ships.
